About Us
The Strategic Group was founded in 1996 as a boutique, multi-national private equity firm that acquires, invests in, develops and successfully operates companies across a multitude of diverse industry types, with its core competency being technology, bioscience, fintech and hedge fund industries.
The Strategic Group PR is the asset management arm of The Strategic Group, which was relocated to PR because of new laws targeting private equity and hedge funds, Acts 20, 22, and 273 now Act 60. TSG was one of the first participants to relocate their firm here.
The firm also founded the 20/22 Act Society, which is a membership-based organization composed of individuals from various places throughout the world, who have relocated to Puerto Rico due to the benefits provided under Puerto Rico Acts 20 and 22 of 2012. The society works closely with the local government in order to provide resources to those whom have relocated and is also host to various social functions and charitable initiatives.
